Promise Keepers 2007

By Mike Wise

The HCC Promise Keepers organizing team is working on hotel and bus logistics for this summer’s annual trek to Promise Keepers. As we boldly go where no church has gone before, we as the men of the church will need to be especially fortified. As an extension of Men’s Fraternity, the 7 Promises of a Promise Keeper equips us, helps us widen our circles to include sons and brothers, and strengthens our vital male relationships. As Pastor Colledge likes to say, “As the Men go, so goes the Church.” Please seriously consider this incredible opportunity, whether you’ve been once or several times. It costs a few bucks, but is really a small item in the grand scheme of things. (If you have the time, read the testimony from last year at the end of this note – right on point.)

Date & Location: Cincinnati, US Bank Arena, August 17-18

Theme - Accountability:

1. Do you believe the Word of God is reliable and true?

2. Do you have a down-to-earth authentic relationship with a brother?

3. What difference do questions 1 and 2 make in your life?

When:

Leave HCC around noon Friday 8/17/07, arrive at the hotel at 5pm, conference starts at 7pm. Return to HCC around 7pm on Saturday.

Expected costs:

$35 for the bus

$35 for lodging (shared room)

$79 later than 3/15) for the ticket into the Arena

The chance to experience God in your own life and/or in a buddy’s: Priceless.

Scholarships are always available, so DO NOT let a few bucks be the issue. God will honor the desires of your heart.

PS. We might have a few “celebrity guests” on the trip with us.

PSS. Remember: the guys that most need to go often need to be invited by other guys. So if you are good in your walk, now is the time to grab a brother and be his encourager.
